Late 19th/early 20th century, each signed to body ''Wagner'', with obscured maker's mark and blue overglaze beehive mark to underside, the first inscribed ''Diana / 448'', the second inscribed ''Bachantinnen / 448'', each with a pierced domed lid over a pulled ovoid cobalt-ground body painted with continuous figural scenes on a gilt ground, raised on lion-headed legs terminating in hoof feet, on an integral tripartite base, each: 9.375'' H x 3.5'' Dia., est: $800/1200.

  • Condition: Each in overall good condition, with scattered spots of rubbed wear to gilt painted decoration. One with finial broken at base, a chipped gilt ''jewel'' and two nicks to foot, the larger approximately .125''-wide. The other with a repaired finial.
