  • Notes: Rich Lanet is a Los Angeles area-based artist whose 3-dimensional wall sculptures playfully engage geometric shapes using both wood & steel, along with light to create varying perspectives of his compositions which are activated by the viewers relation to the multi-dimensional works. Lighting and shadows play a prominent role in his work.

    Rich was born in Los Angeles, lives in Venice, and now has a working studio in Culver City. He received a BS degree from the School of Architecture & Environmental Design at Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo; along with 1 year of Fine Arts studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Although Rich has been always been a working artist, it is only in the last 3 years that he has actively engaged in the world of publicly displaying & showing his work.

    'notes' is part of a series of 9 original works all done monochromatically called 'whitewash'.
    notes' recently was selected by Art Advisory Consultant Phyllis Hofberg as part of her juried show "COY" at Gallery 825. the entire series was first previewed at the San Francisco 'startup art show, receiving high praise from both the public & the art community.
