  • Notes: Note: According to the essay on the artist in ''World Artists 1950-1980'', Soyer was in Buffalo, NY during World War II where he worked in a war plant. ''In the summer of 1943 Isaac taught at the Buffalo University State Teachers College, and he headed his own art school in Buffalo from 1945 to '46, when he returned to New York City. A snow scene he painted in Buffalo was acquired by the Albright-Knox Art Gallery'' (C. Marks, ''World Artists 1950-1980'', New York, 1984, p. 795)
