E. Hamburger ''Ball Balancing'' bronze figure

  • Literature: This model in a smaller size (9.5''H) and with a bronze ball (instead of marble) illustrated: Berman, Harold, ''Bronzes: Sculptors and Founders 1800 - 1930'', Vol. IV. (Atglen, PA: Schiffer Publishing, 1994) p. 897, fig. 3426
  • Condition: Overall good condition. General marks, scratches and rubbed wear commensurate with age. Chips and losses to edges and corners of onyx plinth. The marble ball possibly a later-added replacement for an original bronze ball. Patina a green / gold.
