- Notes: Note: This work will be included in Kaycee Benton's forthcoming catalogue raisonne of the works of Charles Courtney Curran. According to Dr. Benton, this painting ''. . . is also titled as 'Venus' in the record book. This painting was one of a series of eight allegorical paintings that Curran painted during the month of November of 1914. He states in his record book that this series of paintings were made as studies to indicate effects for the Ballet of Pandora's Box. Curran's painting 'Venus' was #7 of the series''
- Condition: Visual: Generally good condition with minor, stable craquelure and a ripple in the canvas in the upper right corner. Blacklight: A 1 x 1 1/2'' area of touch-up to the left of the trees in the right center quadrant and two small spots of touch-up in the lower right quadrant.
