  • Notes: According to the artist's note in his catalogue of paintings, Fries spent two weeks in early April 1927 working in Painted Canyon. The present landscape is the first painting listed from that trip
  • Condition: Visual: Generally good condition. Crazing throughout. Stretcher bar creases. Blacklight: A few small spots of touch-up upper center.
