  • Literature: Literature: The 'Wave Edge' pattern is profiled in W.P. Hood, Jr. ''Tiffany Silver Flatware: 1845-1905: When Dining Was an Art.'' Woodbridge: Antique Collector's Club, 1999, pp. 219-232
  • Notes: Note: Most of these pieces bear the earlier Tiffany & Co, mark indicating that they were made between the pattern's introduction date of 1884 and 1891. Some pieces are more modern additions, likely made when the pattern was re-issued in 1956.
  • Condition: Good condition overall. An assembled service, as stated. With some variations to age and marks, as stated. General marks, scratches, rubbing and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Vermeil to some bowls rubbed. Many pieces monogrammed ''MLB'' as stated. Canteen worn overall. Will not fit entire service. Weight not including steel-bladed articles. Together with two graduated Tiffany & Co. silver soldered trays (the largest (14.5'' x 10.25'') and gravy boat (5'' x 7.25'' x 3.5''), in different pattern with gadrooned rims. Please note: the portrait of Charles T. Cooke is NOT included with this lot. AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL
