The 'writing bed' or 'postcard' designed with two sets of pigeon holes and two short drawers raised on squared legs with slatted interspaces, joined by an I-form stretcher
36" H x 36" W x 22.75" D

  • Literature: Stephen Gray, "Quaint Furniture in Arts and Crafts," Grand Rapids Michigan: Stickley Brothers Company, 1988, p. 61.
  • Condition: Overall good condition with scattered scuffs, scratches, nicks, shrinkage cracks, and separation at joints commensurate with age. Later added reinforcements to the back of each drawer support. Refinished. A 1.25" x 1" area of glued repair to the backside of the upper panel. Wear and losses to the veneer.
