Notes: An important early map of the Carolinas, covering an area from Cape Charles at the mouth of the Chesapeake to St. Augustine in Florida and westward to the Appalachian Mountains. This map is largely based on Ogilby's map of 1672 which is considered to be the "first Lord Proprietors map". Sold by Tho. Basset in Fleet Street and Ric. Chiswell in St. Pauls Churchyard.


  • Condition: Generally good condition. Toning to the paper. Spots of staining to the paper scattered throughout. A folding crease down the center. Not examined out of the frame.
    Frame: 22.5" H x 27" W x .75" D.
