  • Notes: Note: This model, with variations, was a very important and popular design in the late 18th century. A number of clockmakers including Dechamps, Mollien, Piolane, Vaillant and Le Roy made versions of this clock. Many examples are in the collection of the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Thal is recorded as having made an eight day repeater watch at the end of the 18th century
  • Condition: Good overall condition. General marks, nicks, scratches, rubbing and slight dirt accumulation overall, commensurate with age. Some spotting to ormolu elements. Some cracking, minor losses and over-painted restoration to enamel dial. Black marble platform under one lion cracked and with a loss at center front. Opposite lion with white marble support with triangular loss to back (not visible from front of clock). Part of the beaded band mount to base lacking from right side, as visible in catalogue photo. Movement associated. Invoice for replaced movement included. Pendulum replaced. One key. Working condition not tested or guaranteed. AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL
