One marked to lining: Koret

Comprising nine works including a gathered black satin clutch with green glass and marcasite inlay deco frame with black moire taffeta lining and attached change purse (8" H x 10" W), two further black clutches with Art Deco style inlay frames, one in black damask fabric (5.5" H x 8" W), and one in black snakeskin-style textured leather (6.25" H x 9.25" W), as well as a black fabric clutch with large decorative rhinestone frame (7" H x 8" W), a russet snakeskin clutch/handbag with red and orange Art Deco style frame, red satin lining and chain handle/strap (6.5" H x 5.5" W), two multicolored fabric clutches including a rectangular clutch/wallet with embroidered panels and black satin trim with a deco-style clasp and beige moire taffeta lining and multiple interior pockets (4.75" H x 8.75" W x o.75" D), and a Koret floral fabric clutch with bejeweled gold-toned frame (5.75" H x 7" W), and two fabric bags with carved resin frames, one in green silk and one in black velvet (Largest: 9.5" H x 4" W), 9 pieces

  • Provenance: Maria Domont Collection, West Hollywood, CA
  • Condition: Most in overall good condition with dust accumulation, light tarnishing, and light wear commensurate with age and use. A few scattered single losses to inset stones. Large deco purse with missing glass inlay, retained in bag. Black snakeskin bag with detached edge at top and missing chain. Small black damask bag with a few fractures to glass inlay. Russet leather bag with a couple of minor stains to back. Embroidered clutch with loose threads to edges and minor wear to corners, and wear to lining. Koret bag with heavy wear and loss to fabric at edges, especially to front and bottom edge.

Moran, in its sole discretion and as a courtesy to buyers, may arrange to have purchased lots packed, insured, and forwarded by a third-party shipper at the request, expense, and risk of the buyer. In circumstances where Moran arranges for such third-party services, Moran may apply an administration charge of 15% of that service fee. Moran assumes no responsibility for acts or omissions in such packing or shipping by other packers or carriers, even if recommended by Moran. Moran also assumes no responsibility for any damage to picture frames or to the glass therein.
