Fourth-Quarter 19th Century, Meiji Period (1868-1912)
The large folding screen with six panels in three parts decorated with herons, rocks, red flowers, and a snow laden pond on gold leaf and paper ground with silk trim
Overall: 68" H x 150" W x 1" D

  • Condition: Overall fair to good condition with scattered scuffs and scratches commensurate with age. Issues include, but not limited to: chipped/flaked losses to the painted frame verso, fraying and losses to the silk border, warping and lifting to the paper with areas coming apart from the frame at sides, scattered scuffs to the painted surface, and a 4" repaired tear to one panel upper right corner.

In circumstances where Moran's arranges for such third-party services, Moran's may apply an administration charge of 15% of that service fee.
