  • Notes: Note: Robert Andrew Macfie, Jr. was the son of a Scottish sugar baron who purchased the 17th Century Property from an Estate, Dreghorn Castle in 1862. In 1880, Macfie, Jr. purchased and incorporated the Kilauea Sugar Company. Soon thereafter, Princess Lili'uokalani, then Regent and soon to assume the throne as the last Queen of Hawaii, visited Kilauea to dedicate the first sugar cane train line constructed on Kauai. Macfie, Jr. also served as Kilauea, Hanalei District Postmaster from 1880 - 1883. The Hawaiian Monarchy was overthrown by United States troops, spurred on by the American and European sugar plantation owners, on January 17, 1893
  • Condition: General marks, scratches, cracks and wear commensurate with age. A 1.5'' x 2.5'' loss to wood rim. Cracks, repairs and losses to tusks. Lacking two gold caps to legs. AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL
