Circa 1951, comprising ''The Toy'' designed by Charles and Ray Eames, retailed by Sears, Roebuck and Co., a construction kit including 11 colorful plastic-coated paper panels (5 triangular and 6 square) and 18 wooden dowels, with original hexagonal box (each square panel: 29'' H x 29'' W; each triangular panel: 29'' H; the box: 30'' H x 3.25'' Dia.); and two ''The Little Toy'' construction kits designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Tigrett Enterprises, together comprising 19 colorful cardboard panels (9 square and 10 triangular panels), three triangular wire frames, three square wire frames, various plastic-coated twist-ties and two sets of instructions, each with original rectangular box (each square panel: 9'' H x 9'' W; each triangular panel: 9'' H; each box: 1.25'' H x 9.5'' W x 9.5'' D), 3 pieces, est: $300/500.

  • Condition: "The Toy" likely a combination of two different sets. General wear, scratches and scuffs commensurate with age and use. Most square panels with cut losses to some corners; the largest approximately 10'' x 6''. Two dowels broken. One triangle with a 1'' x 3'' torn hole. Box with one torn end; end retained. Lacking pipe cleaner connectors and instructions. Each ''The Little Toy'' with general wear, nicks and scuffs to cardboard elements commensurate with age. Plastic-coated twist ties somewhat deteriorated, some deficient. One set of instructions with an approximately 4'' x 3'' loss to one corner. Each box with tears at the corners; one with one lost end to cover.
