  • Provenance: Estate, upstate NY; acquired by the present owner from the above
  • Notes: This painting will be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonne of the artist's work in preparation by The Newington-Cropsey Foundation, Hastings-on-Hudson, New York (see letter).
  • Condition: Visual: Fine, stable craquelure concentrated mainly in the sky. Discolored varnish. Tiny nails through the face of the painting along the extreme four edges (6-8 on each side) to affix the stretcher bar to the masonite backing. Tacking edges were removed when canvas was affixed to masonite. Black Light: Evidence of old restoration along the edges.
