''Cahuenga Pass'', signed and dated lower left: William Wendt 1912, oil on canvas, 18'' H x 24'' W, est: $20,000/30,000. Literature: W. South et al, ''In Nature's Temple: The Life and Art of William Wendt'', Irvine, CA, 2008, p. 245, illustrated. Note: Fred Blanchard was a highly successful Los Angeles entrepreneur and a pillar of the city's cultural life as the owner of a music store and founder of the Blanchard Music and Art Building, which contained studio space, a recital hall, and an art gallery. South et al, ''In Nature's Temple: The Life and Art of William Went'', Irvine, CA, 2008, p. 244).
