  • Notes: A torn label is accompanied alongside the Los Angeles County Museum inventory label in a plastic sleeve, affixed to the frame's foam board backing.
  • Condition: Visual: Overall generally good condition. Areas of varnish crazing, showing primarily in the lower right quadrant, with heavy and uneven masking varnish throughout. Very fine, stable, unobtrusive craquelure throughout. A 1.25" H x 0.5" W area of visible touch-up near the foot of the stool in the lower right quadrant. As mentioned above the canvas has been laid to waxed canvas.

    Blacklight: Touch-up throughout, the largest areas being an 8.5" horizontal area of touch-up along the upper edge, at right, and a 7.5" H x 6" W area of touch-up in the upper right quadrant. Other rice-sized or smaller areas of touch-up scattered throughout the figure's dress, the stool cushion, and the outer areas of the work.

    Frame: 44.5" H x 37.5" W x 3.5" D

In circumstances where Moran arranges for such third-party services, Moran may apply an administration charge of 15% of that service fee. Moran assumes no responsibility for acts or omissions in such packing or shipping by other packers or carriers, even if recommended by Moran. Moran also assumes no responsibility for any damage to picture frames or to the glass therein.
