Notes: At the turn of the 20th century the owners of the Rio de Janeiro-based Gondolo & Labouriau (Carlos Gondolo & Paulo Labouriau) collaborated and commissioned Patek Philippe to create a high-quailty luxury watch exclusively for their firm. The result was a calibre called 'Chronometro Gondolo,' the specifications of which were based on Adrien Philippe's patented design (US patent No. 20483 of Jan 13, 1891): a 9k gold train, straight line 'moustache' lever escapment, cut bi-metallic compensation balance, a Breguet balance spring, a minimum of 18 jewels, and to incorporate François Wilmot's patented micrometric cam regulator (US patent No. 129197 registered on July 16, 1872).

  • Condition: Very good overall condition. Winds, sets and runs. Dial in very good condition. Movment in very good condition with slight scratches. Case in good condition with some over-polished edges to engine-turned hinged lid and two scratches.
