    All proceeds to benefit the Los Angeles Art Association. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, LAAA's mission is to provide opportunities, resources, services, and exhibition venues for Los Angeles artists, with an emphasis on emerging talent.

    Olesya Volk (a.k.a. Olga Volozova) is a Los Angeles-based artist/writer.
    She was born at the shore of the Caspian sea, in Baku, Azerbajan. At the age of 16 she moved to Moscow. There she graduated from the State Institute of Theatre Arts. She specialized  in theater history and and puppet theatre. In Moscow she started doodling and also, writing and publishing her tales and puppet plays. After moving to the US, she entered the graduate program at UCLA Animation Workshop; received her MFA in Film & TVAnimation. Then, she worked doing  web animation and illustrations. In her paintings, Olesya explores the patterns of nature, mostly the tree bark, as a possibility of intuitive "readings" and leaps into the primordial language.
    She often uses the old Flemish masters technique which she has learned at the Visionary Arts seminars following the tradition of the fantastic realism in Vienna.Olesya's art genres also include mixed media, small dioramas, paper theatre. She writes and illustrates picture books and graphic novels.Olesya Volk is also an organizer of the FairyTale Club for artists in Los Angeles !
