- Notes: Note: Olaf Wieghorst worked as a mounted officer for the New York Police Department and gave the present painting to his colleague George A. Reynolds. See the letter from Olaf Wieghorst's son, Roy Wieghorst, discussing this painting and expressing his opinion that it is indeed the work of his father. Additional information about the painting and provenance is in a letter from Sotheby's, dated 14 January 2004 (letters attached)
- Condition: Visual: Generally good condition with some tiny punctures along the right side and a 1 1/2'' tear in the lower left corner. Some minor surface drips and scratches scattered throughout and minor frame abrasion along the edges. Blacklight: No evidence of restoration under blacklight.
