    Harold Frank was raised in the tenements of New York and exhibited a talent for drawing
    at an early age. After a stint in the army, he traveled to Paris to study and returned to New York
    in the 50s. He attended the New York Art Students League, the National Academy of Design,
    Pratt Institute, Chouinard Art Institute and UCLA where he was a colleague of Richard
    Diebenkorn, who had a lasting influence on his work. Other influences included
    Matisse, Rouault, Picasso and Willem de Kooning. He was shown internationally in London,
    Paris, Amsterdam and Aubonne, Switzerland, as well as throughout the United States from the 1960s through the 1980s.
  • Condition: Visual: Overall generally good appearance. Small scattered areas of craquelure, some with attendant flecks of pigment loss. A few 1" H x 0.25" W (or smaller) pigment losses in the center of the right half. Minor grime. Minor scattered surface scuffs. The surface of the board is slightly uneven.

    Blacklight: No evidence of restoration.

    Frame: 25.75" H x 30.25" W x 2" D

Buyers are responsible for arranging their own shipping estimates and deliveries. Moran, in its sole discretion and as a courtesy to buyers, may arrange to have purchased lots packed, insured, and forwarded by a third-party shipper at the request, expense, and risk of the buyer. In circumstances where Moran arranges for such third-party services, Moran may apply an administration charge of 15% of that service fee. Moran assumes no responsibility for acts or omissions in such packing or shipping by other packers or carriers, even if recommended by Moran. Moran also assumes no responsibility for any damage to picture frames or to the glass therein.
