    This lot is accompanied by additional photographs of the work.
  • Condition: Visual: Overall good condition. Dust accumulation, grime, fine and stable craquelure throughout, minor darkening, varnish discoloration, some areas with minor wear to the pigment mostly in the outer edges, and scattered areas of oxidation to the varnish layer primarily in the background, all commensurate with age. A 4" unobtrusive line of minor abrasion along the upper edge, at right. A few specks of stray white pigment scattered in the lower left corner.

    Blacklight: Areas of touch-up throughout, and mostly concentrated in the background. Areas of touch-up on the figure's forehead, cheeks, and clothing. The German inscription copied on the lining in another hand, taken from the original verso canvas.

    Frame: 32.75" H x 27.5" W x 2.25" D

In circumstances where Moran arranges for such third-party services, Moran may apply an administration charge of 15% of that service fee. Moran assumes no responsibility for acts or omissions in such packing or shipping by other packers or carriers, even if recommended by Moran. Moran also assumes no responsibility for any damage to picture frames or to the glass therein.
