  • Notes: Note: The present work was acquired January 25, 1925 from Ernest Lawson by Mrs. Bertha Glasner through mutual friend and art dealer, Effie Seachrest, purchase price $500.00. Ms. Seachrest was friends with both Gifford Beal and Ernest Lawson and was instrumental in helping establish many prominent art collections in the Kansas City vicinity. Included with the lot are copies of two letters between Mrs. Albert Reeves and Ralph T. Coe, Assistant Director of the Atkins Museum of Fine Arts in Kansas City, MO. The letters, dated June 1966, discuss an upcoming exhibition ''Homage to Effie Seachrest'' and the works the museum requested for inclusion in the show (the present work was not included). The painting retains its original gilt frame
  • Condition: Visual: Generally good condition. Stable craquelure throughout. Blacklight: No evidence of restoration under blacklight. AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL.
