    Other notes:
Although best known as an innovative modernist poet, E.E. Cummings was also a dedicated painter who considered visual art central to his creative identity. He studied art at Harvard University and later in Paris, absorbing influences from modernist movements such as Cubism and Post-Impressionism.

Cummings produced hundreds of paintings and drawings, particularly landscapes, nudes, and still lifes, marked by bold color, playful abstraction, and a strong sense of form. Throughout his life he exhibited his work in galleries, including shows in New York City, and he often insisted that painting was as important to him as poetry, viewing both as ways of exploring perception, individuality, and emotional intensity through different artistic languages.

The absence of a condition report does not imply that an item is free from defects or restoration, nor does a reference to particular defects imply the absence of others. Buyers are responsible for determining to their own satisfaction the true nature and condition of any lot prior to bidding.
