- Notes: Historic Angel's Flight Funicular Railway in the Bunker Hill district of downtown Los Angeles operated from 1901 until 1969, when the site was cleared for redevelopment. In 1996 the railway reopened to the South. Originally connecting Hill and Olive Streets, the tracks now run between Hill Street and California Plaza. The railway has two counterbalanced tram cars, named Sinai and Olivet. Angel's Flight was a popular subject for Abril and the present work captures an early 1960s view of the railway in its original location
