With hinged and handled lid, two small drawers beneath the main storage compartment, and a hinged latch for locking; all decorated with cut and hammered brass in foliate, geometric, and hoopoe bird motifs

  • Notes: CITES is a multilateral treaty to protect endangered plants and animals.
  • Condition: Overall good condition with scattered scuffs, scratches, nicks, shrinkage cracks, indentations, and separation at joints commensurate with age and use. One significant loss of both wood trim and brass overlay on the left-side drawer's left edge, about 1.5" long. Several losses to the brass decoration throughout, one piece retained. Lastly there is discoloration on the interior of both drawers. Latch has a loop for a lock, but no lock is present.

Moran, in its sole discretion and as a courtesy to buyers, may arrange to have purchased lots packed, insured, and forwarded by a third-party shipper at the request, expense, and risk of the buyer. In circumstances where Moran arranges for such third-party services, Moran may apply an administration charge of 15% of that service fee. Moran assumes no responsibility for acts or omissions in such packing or shipping by other packers or carriers, even if recommended by Moran. Moran also assumes no responsibility for any damage to picture frames or to the glass therein.
