An Antique enamel and diamond locket necklace
Circa 1890, tests 14K yellow gold, the detachable oval blue enameled locket measuring 2" x 1 1/2", topped with a red enamel and silver regal emblem set with sixty-two rose-cut diamonds of light grey/brown color and SI clarity, with a link necklace of blue enameled barrel-shaped links, 26", 57.9 grams.

Provenance: Private Collection, Beverly Hills, CA

  • Condition: The enamel shows minor abrasions and chipping. The locket is bluer than the chain, which are more turquoise in color, although the barrel links are all slightly different in color from one another. When opened there is evidence of later-added repairs holding the emblem in place with small metal rivets.
