  • Notes:
According to the National Galleries of Scotland, who own an example of this poster, "In the 1980s Warhol began to accept commissions for advertising work from a range of manufacturers and businesses. Many critics noted that he had essentially gone full-circle, returning to where he had started in the 1950s as a commercial illustrator. Yet Warhol maintained that he "was always a commercial artist". This screenprint of the French mineral water Perrier was an experimental design for an advertising campaign in 1983. It features printed line drawings of the bottle's con tours [sic] in contrasting colours and set against larger areas of colour. The final design was awarded the Grand Prize of the French Poster in 1983."
  • Condition: Overall good appearance. The full sheet and the colors fresh. An occasional very soft and unobtrusive handling mark near the outer sheet edges, visible primarily in raking light. The sheet is loose, not matted.

    Unframed.

Condition reports are offered as a courtesy and are typically published in Moran's catalogue or can be made available upon request. The absence of a condition report does not imply that an item is free from defects or restoration, nor does a reference to particular defects imply the absence of others. Buyers are responsible for determining to their own satisfaction the true nature and condition of any lot prior to bidding. Though buyers are not legally required to inspect lots prior to purchase, failure to do so may constitute a waiver of complaint that an item was not delivered in a condition equal to the existent condition at the auction.
