A Victorian brass-bound coromandel casket

  • Notes: The firm of Jenner and Knewstub was founded in the late 1850s and was dissolved in 1886. Located at both 33 St. James St and 66 Jermyn Street, London, they held royal warrants to the British and Russian royal families
  • Condition: General marks, scratches and nicks commensurate with age and use. One tea caddy with deterioration to metal lining. Four or five nibbles and losses to veneer along edges of base. Scattered stable shrinkage cracks to veneer. An area of lifting to veneer on rear exterior panel. Box lacking handle from one end and lacking key. Glass cup with a few minor chips to rim.
