  • Notes: Note: Pascal Sebah (1823-1886) was the preeminent photographer in Constantinople in the 19th century. Johannes (Jean) Sebah (1872-1947) followed in his father's footsteps and took over the studio after Pascal's death and ultimately formed a partnership with Policarpe Joaillier and renamed the firm Sebah & Joaillier in 1888. They were appointed as official photographers of the Sultan and commissions led them all over the empire
  • Condition: Suede cover with some wear, rubbing and fading. Dedicated to Arma Gray Everett. Images in good condition, with only scattered slight discoloration. Some scattered slight spotting to pages. AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL
