  • Notes: This lot is sold together with a letter from Svetlana Nenov, an expert in fine Russian art, signed in ink and dated December 29, 1983. The letter contains background information about the piece in this lot. Accompanying this lot is another letter signed and dated in ink, Svetlana Nenov, December 27, 1983, and with the gallery ink stamp. This letter details the style of this Russian Icon and the silver, gold-plated riza.
  • Condition: Overall good condition with minor scuffs, scratches, tarnishing, and darkening to underpainting commensurate with age. The underpainting with dust accumulation, delicate craquelure, and darkening. Pinhead-sized or smaller scattered areas of pigment loss. Abrasion along the four edges of the wood. The riza, with felt lining, and is loose and removable.

In circumstances where Moran arranges for such third-party services, Moran may apply an administration charge of 15% of that service fee. Moran assumes no responsibility for acts or omissions in such packing or shipping by other packers or carriers, even if recommended by Moran. Moran also assumes no responsibility for any damage to picture frames or to the glass therein.
