  • Provenance: The Collection of Wilhelm Gumprecht, Berlin. Probably offered in the sale of the Gumprecht Collection, sold by Paul Cassirer and Hugo Helbing, Berlin, 21-22 March 1918, lot 98.
  • Condition: Nicely carved. With extensive rubbing to surface gilding and painted decoration. Some chipped losses to painted decoration. Lacking left hand. Left arm cracked at elbow and repaired. Right hand with losses to fingers reattached with cracking around cuff. Hand should be properly restored. With affixing holes to underside. With a slight depression and small hole to top of head. Lacking element to top.
