Likely Mixtec or Nahua, the anthropomorphic, ceramic effigy brazier in the form of a seated figure, possibly a rain deity, with exposed incisors and jaguar canine teeth wearing a conical hat, nose plug and earrings, pectoral band, calf bands, and sandals, with traces of polychrome pigments, teeth and earrings reminiscent of Tlaloc

  • Condition: Overall fair to good condition with wear, chipping, weathering, and inherent firing flaws commensurate with age. The figure's left foot with a prior break and evidence of previous attempted restoration, piece detached but accompanies the figure..
