The gold-washed trophy topped with a garb of wheat over a body with acorn border flanked by handles enclosing an armorial, possibly for Richard Grosvenor, 1st Baron Grosvenor, to one side and inscribed to the other: Chester Races / 1818

Notes: Richard Grosvenor, 1st Baron Grosvenor (1731-1802), later created 1st Earl Grosvenor in 1784.


  • Condition: Overall good condition with light scratches and tarnishing commensurate with age. The lid does not fit snugly.
