Picault 1873'', after Emile Louis Picault (1833 - 1915 French), the shallow circular rouge marble dish inscribed ''Romana / Sacrificium / Laribus / Super / Via'', centering an inset circular bronze plaque depicting classically draped figures in relief, over a gilt-highlighted bronze base (inscribed to underside ''25173'') surmounted by lion-head medallions issuing scrolling, pierced pendants, flanked by cabriole legs terminating in lion-paw feet, mounted on a short, cruciform plinth with circular pads, 9.5'' H x 17.25'' Dia., est: $2000/3000.
