The parquetry bureau plat with inset gilt foil stamped leather writing surface and fitted glass top over a gilt-bronze mounted apron with Vernis Martin painted figural scenes and three frieze drawers raised on four cabriole legs with sabots to the feet
30" H x 36" W x 22.25" D

  • Condition: Overall good condition with scattered scuffs, scratches, nicks, shrinkage cracks, and separation at joints commensurate with age. Wear, craquelure, and possible toning to the varnish on the painted scenes. Minor chip to back left corner of glass top. Leather top with visible areas of wear. Scattered minor chips and abrasions to veneer. Lacking key.
