  • Notes:
The bridge depicted in most of the pieces is the Ponte Salaro in Rome, after an image published circa 1796 by Merigot and Robert Edwards (1768-1827) in London, as part of a portfolio titled "A Select Collection of Views and Ruins in Rome and Its Vicinity; Executed from Drawings Made Upon the Spot in the Year 1791," which comprised 59 aquatint plates.
  • Condition: Each overall good condition with shelf wear, scattered minor scuffs, and inherent firing flaws commensurate with age. Each with crazing to the glaze, some with minor soiling to underside. One teacup with rice-sized chipped loss to rim. Two plates with hairline cracks in the glaze, not surface-reaching. Covered vegetables with scattered areas of rubbed loss to the gilding of rim. Covered boat with a pea-sized chipped loss to inner rim of lid.

Condition reports are offered as a courtesy and are typically published in Moran's catalogue or can be made available upon request. The absence of a condition report does not imply that an item is free from defects or restoration, nor does a reference to particular defects imply the absence of others. Buyers are responsible for determining to their own satisfaction the true nature and condition of any lot prior to bidding. Though buyers are not legally required to inspect lots prior to purchase, failure to do so may constitute a waiver of complaint that an item was not delivered in a condition equal to the existent condition at the auction.
