Circa 1910, Washington D.C., marked to underside of foot ''Galt & Bro'', further marked ''Sterling'' and ''336'', of high-shouldered baluster form, all-over repousse-decorated with grape clusters, leaves and vines forming reserves to each side; the first containing the monogram ''GCP'' in script, the second inscribed ''To / Senator George C. Perkins, / From / Truxton Beale and his sister / In grateful acknowledgement of his / eloquent tribute to their / father / Washington / May 31st 1910'', with a grape-cordon-form handle issuing clusters of grapes and twining shoots, raised on a waisted socle over a circular domed foot, 17.75'' H x 9.5'' W x 7'' D, 58.085 oz troy approximately, est: $3000/5000.
