A Chinese carved hardwood and cloisonne enamel ruyi scepter

The carved hardwood scepter designed with lush peaches and foliage and set with three blue-ground polychrome panels of cloisonne enamel

  • Condition: Overall good condition with scattered separation cracks, nicks and chips to frame commensurate with age. A 2" x .125" section of glued repair to lower wood frame. The lower cloisonne panel with chips, nicks, and craquelure, the largest chip: .25" x .25". The top panel re-glued to scepter. The middle panel with a .25" chip with corresponding loss to cloisonne.
