Circa 1932, impressed maker's mark: Catalina, artist signed for decorator Maude Chase: Chase, a circular black-glazed pottery charger hand-painted to reserve with a seaplane mid-flight over a gilt-painted ocean adorned with two sailing cruise ships, 1.25'' H x 13.625'' Dia., est: $900/1200. Note: The logo on the underside of the aircraft's wing is that of the Wilmington-Catalina Airline, active between 1931-1941.

  • Condition: Overall good condition, with four very light scratches to lower rim. Two approximately 1.5''-long hairline cracks to ring foot with an approximately .25''-long thin section of corresponding loss. Minor inherent firing flaws to underside.
