"NO great artist ever sees things as they really are. If he did, he would cease to be an artist."
~ Oscar Wilde
Mike began his tenure with Moran’s after transitioning from a 20-year career as a security consultant. His clients included private residences as well as large-scale sports and entertainment venues. Mike’s specialties in this field make him a true asset to the Moran team.
Having started as a Fine Art Handler and then leading that team for four years, Mike has shifted gears to become Moran’s Fine Art Cataloguer. His daily responsibilities include inventory control as well as the review and cataloguing of all artwork. This includes examining each piece, remarking on the condition, documenting provenance, and cross-referencing materials associated with the artworks. He also assists interested bidders with pre-auction inquiries and private previews. During our auctions, Mike can be found running one of several online bidding platforms, acting as a telephone agent, or assisting with clients’ questions.
Mike and his wife enjoy traveling to distant isles and camping out in more local areas. Most importantly, his baking skills are much coveted around the office.
