    Private Estate, California
  • Condition: Visual: Overall generally good appearance. Laid to canvas, as mentioned, with the original tacking edges removed. Fine craquelure throughout. Two scuff marks along the upper portion of the left edge, one dime-sized, one pea-sized, and another just above, measuring 2" H x 0.25" W. An old varnish layer with surface grime. Probable old restorations visible to the naked eye in places, including a 2" H x 1" W area along the center of the right edge, just to the right of the mirror.

    Blacklight: Numerous scattered lines and dots of newer touch-ups throughout, including the Madonna's face and body. Also larger spots of touch-up in places, the largest being about 4" H x 1" W. There is an older, thick varnish layer obscuring other restorations that are visible with the naked eye. Surface grime.

    Frame: 32.5" H x 28.25" W x 4" D

In circumstances where Moran arranges for such third-party services, Moran may apply an administration charge of 15% of that service fee. Moran assumes no responsibility for acts or omissions in such packing or shipping by other packers or carriers, even if recommended by Moran. Moran also assumes no responsibility for any damage to picture frames or to the glass therein.
