1900, Sheffield, maker's mark of Harrison Brothers & Howson (George Howson), a sterling silver and mixed-metal fruit set, each with a Japanese-import mixed metal knife hilt handle variously decorated with figures, flowers, landscapes, animals or other motifs, comprising 12 forks (each approximately: 7.375'') and 12 knives (each approximately: 8.5''), 7 knives variously inscribed in Japanese to verso of handle, 24 pieces, with a fitted enameled canteen, est: $2500/3500.


  • Provenance: Private Collection, Laguna Beach, CA
  • Condition: Overall good condition, with general light marks, scratches, nicks and tarnishing to mixed metals commensurate with age. One fork with nicks and abrasions to bottom edge of handle. Canteen lacking key. Seven knives engraved, as stated.
