An English Georgian mahogany bachelor's chest
Late 18th/early 19th century
Rectangular top over two short and three long drawers with lockplates raised overall on ogee feet, mahogany exterior, oak and pine secondary woods, lacking key, with later-added glass top
Without glass top: 33" H x 33.375" W x 20.375" D


  • Condition: Overall good condition with scattered scuffs, shrinkage cracks, and nicks commensurate with age. The longest shrinkage crack to top measuring approximately: 30.25" long. Two 4" long cracks to either corner of top (one with glued repair). Lock plates likely later-added. Brass hardware cleaned. Carcass refinished. Two drawers with losses to edge molding.
