Late 19th/early 20th century, one marked to underside: Phenix / 30 / [star over phoenix with wings outstretched], each of dual-handled oblong form, pierced and repousse-decorated with fabric garlands, acanthus leaves and ribbon-molding, raised on pilaster-form legs terminating in paw feet, each with a conforming metal liner, 2 pieces, each: 5'' H x 21.5'' W x 8'' D, est: $1200/1800.

  • Condition: Each in overall good condition with minor tarnishing and wear commensurate with age. One with lower end of one handle slightly pushed in with a corresponding .125''-long crack to base and minor repairs to tops of two legs. The other with a glued repair to break through one foot and lower end of one handle slightly pushed in.
