Also known as "woolies," depicting scenes of Victorian-era sea vessels within circular cartouches on colored grounds surrounded by regimental and national flags tipped with applique tassels and each featuring stylized name plates, one reading "Victoria and Albert" and one with illegible initials, 2 pieces

  • Notes: Woolworks were often created by sailors while at sea by weaving woolen thread into duck linen.
  • Condition: Overall good condition with fading of textile pigment and minor scratches to frame commensurate with age. Heavy deterioration to backing paper. Unsigned. Framed: 24.875" H x 31.625" W.
