Artist's statement: I have been a full time professional visual artist for 20 years. My work's national and international private and corporate collectors include Disneyworld, St. Kitts Marriott Resort, Bob Taylor (Taylor Guitars) and Grammy winning blues musician Jimmie Vaughan among others.

I call my current pieces sculptural wall reliefs. I refer to them as 2-1/2 dimensional. They are carefully composed and constructed so as to capture and showcase the reflections and shadows intrinsic in each piece. I examine processes, perseverance, repetition and routines and their effects on [daily] life if the objective is to reach beyond those constraints in order to create something worthwhile, and perhaps beautiful: the quality of making the mundane in everyday life magical. Since these topics are universal, the titles for each piece are translations of the words for ‘perseverance', ‘habitual', ‘routine', ‘endure' and the like, in different global languages. When once asked to describe my work in one sentence, I replied: "take nature, and then make a left just before reality".
  • Condition: Please contact Peter Mays ([email protected]) at the Los Angeles Art Association, Gallery 825 for a condition report

Condition reports are offered as a courtesy and are typically published in Moran's catalogue or can be made available upon request. The absence of a condition report does not imply that an item is free from defects or restoration, nor does a reference to particular defects imply the absence of others. Buyers are responsible for determining to their own satisfaction the true nature and condition of any lot prior to bidding. Though buyers are not legally required to inspect lots prior to purchase, failure to do so may constitute a waiver of complaint that an item was not delivered in a condition equal to the existent condition at the auction.
