"Pepper" Paire Davis (1924-2013, Racine Belles), Helen "Nickie" Fox (1920-2021, Rockford Peaches), Alice "Lefty" Hohlmayer (1925-2017, Kenosha Comets), Dorothy "Dottie" Kamenshek (1925-2010, Rockford Peaches), and Margaret "Marge" Wenzell (1925-2014, South Bend Blue Sox), 3 signed baseballs with affixed name plaques of the player's name, all on a wood display, including Sammie Haynes (Atlanta Black Crackers, Negro Baseball League), (Fran Matthews (1916-1999, Newark Eagles, Negro Baseball League), and Merle Porter (1921-2000, Kansas City Stars, Negro American League), 1 autographed baseball from 1989 housed in an acrylic display case, by Al Barlick (1915-1995, Umpire for the MLB, and 1 "Negro League Baseball Stars" card set in an acrylic card holder.

    In addition, this lot is accompanied by by three MKN international autograph tickets for Joe Di Maggio, on August 24, 1991, and two tickets on March 28, 1992, for Yogi Berra and Willie McCovey. Also included are four autograph tickets held by Ball Park Promotions, with dates ranging from March 13-15, 1992, with baseball players, Ernie Banks, Steve Carlton, Whitey Ford, and Ferguson Jenkins. Four colored autograph verification stubs from the 1992 West Coast National (July 2, 3, 4, 5) with baseball players, Rollie Fingers, Billy Herman, Mickey Mantle, and Stan Musical. As well as, photocopies of 62 photographs of various famous baseball players signing baseballs that are being sold in this lot. In addition, there are also six postcards advertising various times and dates for the Anaheim Card Show, presented by MKN International. Two flyers from Field of Dreams and M.K.N. International for baseball signings.

    The "Negro League Baseball Stars" is a 119 card-set, there are 115 cards in the acrylic card hold, and three of the cards are not in the acrylic case: Card #1 Buck Leonard, Homestead Grays, Card #7 Ray Dandridge, Newark Eagles, and Card #14 Lou Dials, Chicago American Giants, are still in this lot and is used as a trading card combined with a signed baseball (for the set of 51). However, Card #20 Lou Dials, Chicago American Giants, is not in this lot.
  • Condition: Overall good condition. The baseballs with minor toning, and some more than others, slight wear, and occasional specks of grime, all commensurate with age. The baseball trading cards, some with the colors slightly attenuated, and very minor handling creases and surface scuffs, all attendant with age and wear. Some of the signed baseballs and trading baseball cards on a wood display are slightly loose from the display base.

    Condition reports are offered as a courtesy and are typically published in Moran's catalogue or can be made available upon request. The absence of a condition report does not imply that an item is free from defects or restoration, nor does a reference to particular defects imply the absence of others. Buyers are responsible for determining to their own satisfaction the true nature and condition of any lot prior to bidding. Shipping. As a courtesy to buyers, Moran provides a list of preferred shippers who are in the business of transporting antiques and works of art. Buyers are responsible for arranging their own shipping estimates and deliveries. Moran, in its sole discretion and as a courtesy to buyers, may arrange to have purchased lots packed, insured, and forwarded by a third-party shipper at the request, expense, and risk of the buyer. In circumstances where Moran arranges for such third-party services, Moran may apply an administration charge of 15% of that service fee. Moran assumes no responsibility for acts or omissions in such packing or shipping by other packers or carriers, even if recommended by Moran. Moran also assumes no responsibility for any damage to picture frames or to the glass therein.
