Notes: Inscribed in ink on the stretcher: 111 [illegible] E. Toudouze / 21 Boulevard des Batignolles / Paris. A chalk inscription on the central stretcher bar reads: Mr. [illegible]. A stencil dating to the 19th Century on the canvas verso reads: Maison Ange Ottoz / Ch. Bertaux / 58 Rue de Chehy, Paris
Condition: Visual: Minor surface grime and scattered craquelure. Occasional small spots of pigment loss, showing mostly in the sky. A few delicate flecks of what appears to be stray white pigment in the sky. Stretcher bar creases along all four edges.
Blacklight: No evidence of restoration under blacklight. Certain pigments fluoresce, however these appear to be in the hand of the artist.
