Graciela Rodo Boulanger

1935-

Artist Graciela Rodo Boulanger (b.1935) enrolled in the School of Fine Arts in Bolivia at the age of 11. She traveled to Buenos Aires at 22 where she met, and later married, Claude Boulanger. Graciela Rodo Boulanger’s art features vividly colored figures against muted backgrounds, to draw focus to the primary subject. A master of many mediums, she created works of art using watercolors, etching, and lithography.

Her depictions of cherub-cheeked children at play are a popular seller among Graciela Rodo Boulanger’s prints. In 1993, artist Graciela Rodo Boulanger’s oil painting Viaje Imaginario was chosen by the World Federation of the United Nations to be replicated on a special issue of stamps.
